On April 13th and 14th, one of BLR Portfolio companies, Cella Consulting, hosted a two-day training event for leaders of in-house creative teams called Beyond the Creative. It was an extremely successful event, including 43 in-house creative leaders from more than 30 companies at the Waterview Conference Center just outside of Washington, DC in Arlington, Virginia. Creative leaders traveled from as far west as California, south as Texas, and north as Massachusetts to attend our training seminar for leaders of in-house creative teams. This event is a great example of how our portfolio of companies compliment each other in the marketplace. The BOSS Group team members were able to offer their clients a discount to attend the training, which enabled the BOSS team members to provide additional value to their clients and help propel Cella’s marketing message. This synergy contributed to 40% of the attendees!

Attendees also provided us with some great ideas for topics for our Beyond the Creative 2 event Cella is planning to host in Fall 2011. In addition to benefiting from curriculum, the group took advantage of the opportunity to network with peers during the breaks and evenings. In fact, the group felt so much value from the community of peers that, upon request, we created a LinkedIn group to keep the conversations going!
